Publisher's summary

As Nephele, Alexus, and their faithful companions grapple with the devastating loss on Mount Ulra, the threat of Thamaos's reign rises in the East. To prepare, the crew must strengthen the Northland and Summerland armies, even if it means depending on the one being they never thought would live again: Neri, God of the White Wolf.

Nephele made a deal that not only ensures the Wolf's resurrection, but one that forces her to remain at his side, even when he returns North to bolster defenses and destroy any traitors and enemies remaining. The last thing Nephele wants is to spend her days and nights alone with a seductive, arrogant god, but Tiressia's future depends on Neri being their primary weapon, one only she holds the power to wield.

As Thamaos aims his first wave of destruction at Neri, Nephele finds that not only is the Wolf more difficult to control than she believed, but that he's more human than she gave him credit for. With every passing hour, the undeniable passion between them burns brighter, until their fire becomes impossible to resist.

Because the only thing he loathes more than the Wolf roaming Tiressia again, is that there's a witch at his side, and her name is Bloodgood.

Absolutely perfect!

I read The Wolf and the Witch when it first came out and this audiobook rendition is make you blush amazing. The narration to the book to another level and getting to hear Neri… it was an out of body experience 🤣.

Now onto the book details:

The Wolf and the Witch is book 3 in the Witch Walker Series by Charissa Weaks.

This book picks up right where City of Ruin ended on Top of Mount Ulra except we are now in Nephale and Neri’s point of view. We follow Neri and Nephele as they work to help their friends and family, while preparing for Thamos’s impending attack in the wake of their losses and uncertainty following the events on Mount Ulra. Although we do have a strong presence from Alexus in the first half of the book, the focus is really on Nephele and Neri and them understanding their draw to each other and understanding their role in taking down Thamos.

My heart ached when Fleurie and Alexus are reunited. The whispered words shared brought tears to my eyes. The torment and anguish was palpable.

I loved the sarcasm and sexual tension between Neri and Nephele that grew to trust and understanding. The lust that turned to unspoken tenderness and love.

The Wolf and the Witch was well written and made you turely feel for Nephele and Neri to a point where I am left wanting more of them and their story.

Delicious setup for the next book

nice intermediate book focused on Nephale and Niri. So many fun nuggets of storyline that sets up the next book. I am so excited to see what happens with the orbs!! 🌶️🌶🌶🌶

Excited For The Next Book - Highly Recommend For Those Who Liked ACOTAR

I’m excited for the next book! I liked this book a lot. I would have rated it 4.3 stars if I could. I hardly ever rate books at 5 stars, so 4.3 is high praise for me.

And yes, contains spice! 🌶️

I rated this as four stars because I felt like some parts of the book didn’t really move much, or weren’t as believable. Like, when Neri is losing all of his power and has significant trouble shifting into his wolf form, but then can still turn into three men for a sex scene… The first book was chef’s kiss, and the second and third just didn’t hold the same amount of “wow” for me to also be five stars. Once the story returned to its roots at the end I started to feel that original magic again. Sometime with stories I don’t enjoy when the storyline is taken outside of the original setting, it loses its original home-like-familiarity for me. However, now that Nephele has returned home I liked it a lot more.

HOWEVER, I still realllllllllly like this series and would recommend to anyone. I know there are publishing issues with the fourth book going on, so I may go back and listen to all three again.

Love the story!

I am enthralled by this series, but sometimes the female actors make voices just sound….constipated and take me out of the story a bit 🫣 i feel awful saying it but yeah….sexy sentences with a constipation sound take away the sexy.

Way too graphic

I enjoy the characters and some of romance but waaay too much time was spent on details of sex. Usually I skip through most of that
